I’ll just have to get used to everything being more expensive in Canada

I live right by the Ontario boarder and we def have snow in that area earlier. Usually starts the week of Halloween all up until April, so I'm not too worried.

Canada is huge. What area are u refering to and what do u consider bad?

 

Edit: i see on ur profile ur from France. In Canadas more populated region where I live and that the OP is based on, id say were a little bit worse than say Paris

 

If im not mistaken in Paris u get snow sometimes but usually doesnt stay in the ground very long and your temperatures often go below 0C at night but during the day its usually above freezing?

 

Here the mid day temperatures average just below freezing so often the snow doesnt melt much for weeks at a time and can accumulate especially in colder winters but we do often get little breaks where it warms up a little and snow does melt...

 

What can be bad is when snow melts and refreezes often creating a lot of ice and slush on and off cuz were not cold enough to be below freezing all the time so u get a lot of that messy transition with large amounts of snow at times

 

Also mid December to late March are the only really bad months.

there is a charm to harsh winters but also I am so scarred. I have enjoyed the past two winters because there was only really like 2 or 3 months of intense snow  I am not accustomed to this weather just yet but I am getting there slowly
