First released in October 2019 as a standalone single, before being included on her 5th studio album Smile in August 2020.
Harleys in Hawaii, co-written by Katy alongside Charlie Puth, is gaining fresh attention thanks to the 'You and I' TikTok trend. Users lipsync to a slowed down version of the song while turning their camera to the side, then revealing a glow-up makeover against a colourful backdrop.

The trend has sparked a resurgence of the song in the UK, where its chart sales have risen 426% month-on-month, according to Official Charts Company data.
Katy herself has since responded to the song's renaissance on her Instagram and Twitter:

Last week the track was streamed 215,000 times in the UK - a significant increase compared to the 25,000 average weekly streams it was getting this year prior to going viral. It also enjoyed its biggest week of UK chart sales since December 2019, even bettering the song's performance during the release week of her Smile album, which peaked at Number 5 on the UK's Official Albums Chart last September.

Honestly it deserves so much more, it's a BOP! the video is sexy, the vibe is very chill. Should've been a Top10. I'm happy it's getting viral.

Tbh i think that song was a little ahead of its time when it came out. I really did not enjoy it but I was listening to

it a couple days ago. The vertical version of the video I still thought it was a serve.

I hope this helps her next era for the fact alone that her team managed to have the correct name of the edited version trend. every time a gaga song ever trended on tiktok it never had the actual name but either the creator's name or the lyric as a title or something

When Judas trended, the author renamed the audio to “Judas by Lady Gaga“.

It also doesn't really depend on the artist's team. You can only change the name of the audio once, and if the creator had already changed it, there's nothing that can be done.

It's the best song she released since the Witness album so I'm glad it's getting recognition. Also it feels like the only song where she really reinvented herself with a freshedr sound and different image in the music video. This song always deserved more
