That’s how she works since day one literally with Video Games. No shes the one who directed video games thats why it's good. Her brother did the blue banister cover single Please, just look at how the quality is so low, looks like it's been done on PhotoFiltre. Same with the recent videos that are just not good at all. The ones Lana did were different and good in my opinion. But no Video Games is not the same at all, but thats ur opinion

It’s not a big production obviously. But it fits Lana standards. I think Lana herself should care more about the quality of whatever she puts out but I think she doesn’t care at all so… those things are not really relevant in the Lana world. I think she doesn’t get the proper budget, considering her streaming numbers are quite good. Her last two eras had one big video basically and NFR had the tour. She has become more of a recording artist than a visual one so that’s why she has been so consistent with dropping new music

Her brother did film the Arcadia video tho, which is honestly perfect in her aesthetic. Don't try to be the art police here
BloodyM 1,264
Why did this feel like a goodbye? This video seems odd/bittersweet at the same time as she sounds like she is on the verge of crying, hope she's ok! x
azul 2,099
At first, I was so sad when I read that. However, I am ok with Lana becoming this obscure, unreachable star. It goes with her old days' aesthetic, like a Hollywood movie star who only shows up at red carpets and social events, dressing to kill. I mean, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Joan Crawford, and the others solidified their iconic images by showing up at the right time with the right clothes and accompanied by the right people. Social media has destroyed the way we perceive superstars by showing celebrities doing the same things that all of us do. I am ok with Lana bringing back this mysterious aura to her persona. After all, she has started her career just like that.

I doubt that is the reason why Lana deactivated, not because she wants to be mysterious but because she genuinely doesn’t seem interested in posting on her socials. StrawberryBlond 14,899
Maybe I'm weird this way but I don't like it when artists release music constantly. It all starts to blend into one if they do the same thing over and over and even fans will start to forget these albums. It's the gaps that make us remember. If you look back at the singers from decades ago, when making multiple albums a year was the norm, you'll see long lists of albums you've never heard of and out of all their works, only about 2 make the best albums of all time lists. An onslaught of new material is a blessing and a curse. I understand that Lana's been working overtime in lockdown like many artists but even as a fan, I'm tiring of constantly hearing new songs from her and it lessens how much I'm into it. When she took gaps between Honeymoon and LFL and LFL and NFR, these albums felt like more of a "moment" because she made us wait. I wonder if the reason why she has so many failed relationships is because she focuses so much of her time into writing and recording that she doesn't have time to devote to herself to romance. How can you when you have an album out every year, even without a tour? Artists have to take breaks to nurture close relationships, that's why they're the ones who tend to stay together. Well I think this is the exact opposite of Lana’s philosophy. She’s not making music to “be the moment”, she doesn’t make calculated attempts to have “star power”. She makes music because she simply loves to do that regardless if you’re excited or not. It’s what makes her happy. And I’d much rather have that, it’s refreshing in a musician. And we are not the ones to judge why she has x amount of “failed” relationships.

I really like you and respect you but those kind of assumptions must be one of the reasons why she’s getting rid of social media in her life. She wants to work while keeping her private life… private. Also breaking up doesn’t equal failing in a relationship. We don’t know if her breakups were all friendly. I'm not judging her for it, just making a reasonable conclusion as to why her private life doesn't always work out for her. It's a known fact that workaholics can struggle to maintain long-term relationships. Workaholic musicians tend to get out the hurt they feel from relationships ending through their songs all the while never really stopping to realise that if they didn't focus so much on pumping out albums, they would have more time to give to their relationships and they'd be happier. Lana recently got engaged and within mere weeks, it was over and she was engaged in the past as well. This is a pattern that must be very hard on her so I say this out of concern. And when I say "failed" relationships, it's no different from saying "ended" relationship, there's nothing too deeply to be read into it.
