AURAOFSHEISSE 6,516
was Arca just being lazy by sampling all those songs or was she just making an artistic choice? “Hands on your knees, I’m Angelina Jolie”
elephanteric 9
This is more of a playback question, but when I listen on my headphones, the mixing seems really off -- it's super quiet compared to other songs on the album, and certain tracks on the song seems to jump from really quiet to more loud at random parts (vocals vs instruments). I think I would like it a lot more if it was mixed differently, does anyone else hear this when they play it back?
Bradley 59,023
I could tolerate a little bit of experimentation but there was a sound effect they used that was really grating at the ears. It was that repetitive noise that sounded like your speakers were intermittently playing something but then getting cut off before the note could fully play out. It sounded like a speaker malfunction, and it's not pleasing to the ears at all. Wish they would've just taken them away.
Enzo 37,977
Arca has some decent tracks, but mostly unlistenable messes So it was no surprise, and sampling their own songs, it was bad for us yeah 툭 까보면 어김없이 소리질러와
ANVEEROY 61,188
One of the greatest failures in the music scene. Made ROM hazardous. Stream Kylie-Janet Discographies!
Stephen 30,423
At first I was disappointed because I wanted a banger ROM remix but after a few listens it clicked for me. It's beautifully euphoric Give me that same ascendant feeling as Charli XCX Track
phantasmas 10,481
with the direction the remix was taking, I think Maluca Mala should've joined in on it
weed 73,754
It starts out sooo promising and then mess lol wish the voice was taken out
elijahfan 26,047
That's literally Arca's style, so there's nothing surprising about how the remix sounds. It's one of my favorites on the album, it's so ethereal - I can't say I'm surprised some people are not getting it, Arca isn't for everyone, but one would expect some more open mindedness from LMs, a fanbase who keeps asking for their fave to go darker and more experimental Let's be honest, y'all aren't ready for this. Yeah this is where I can't get behind all those saying "it's ethereal" "it's experimental" "it's just like Arca's other work" I'm dancing and grooving to tracks 1 + 2 and then ROM starts and I'm literally catching myself with a confused look on my face and checking the time left on the track. I think another thing for me was that it lost the original meaning and flow of the original track, being about sobriety and trauma, and the vocals are just....lost amongst all this randomness. I WILL say there are some pleasant sounds and production, but it all feels super jumbled every time I listen. This feels like one of those tracks they play at the club where everyone is dancing awkward because the beat never kicks in and it's just sort of like floating in air. All in all, I appreciate it but it seems very out of place on this album. Even Fun Tonight, even tho it's one of my least favs on both Chromatica and DoC still has a dance vibe. Glad to see so many others share my opinion
HausOfAntonio 8,021
I appreciate it for what it is but its not what I enjoy listening to. It is very creative and interesting but I still feel a bit out of place listening.
Plastic Flower 4,793
Y'all acting like Gaga is only playing this version now lmao at the "ROM is ruined" comments. I liked the remix but I got so confused with the Metelo Sacalo sample but I love it for that reason now. Drop it

People need to understand that these all are subjective. One can like Jane Austen, one can like John Green- it depends. I personally can't digest any books of John Green, it doesn't mean he didn't wrote any good books. Stream Kylie-Janet Discographies!

Sounded pretty close minded to me.
