I don't give a **** it it's vaccine proof.

Just tell me if it's more dangerous or no:saladga: or my body can take it.

Although the chances of what I'm gonna say are very very little. It almost seems media just wants to keeps in fear by using big words or menacing words in their titles/headlines (I study communications and journalism, so this I know for a fact) when there could also be no such treats in the actual virus. I study communications but no medicine, so I could totally be blind.

Also, why the **** does this virus keeps mutating? I had never in my life knew about any virus that mutated as fast as this one. In less than a year we've had 5 mutations so far. I don't remember mutations with influenza, or ebola, or chicken flu, or any other😭😭

I’m all seriousness, what happens if vaccines don’t work with these new variants that are more lethal? Are we back to square 1?

no, not necessarily. i can’t remember which virus it was, perhaps the spanish flu, but one was pretty lethal comparatively so it died out a lot quicker because the people who had it died before they had the chance to spread it.

viruses mutate incredibly quickly. that’s why you have to get vaccinated for the flu every year, and even when vaccinated, sometimes you can still get the flu due to mutations. mutations are quite common and it’s not as scary as it sounds.

Not to be all doomsday, but like others' said, mawma what is the POINT anymore if this keeps happening? Just close everything and (harshly) penalize anyone who goes out of their way to make things worse, doesn't listen. So many of us are making no money, have no prospects, have literally nothing, and at the age I am it's starting to seem impossible to find a clever way out when morons are making it worse for everyone. The annoying part is the people who are making this worse are the same people enjoying their lives, imagine how tired we are....

If everyone got vaccinated it would be over with! Nations need to start making the vaccination mandatory cause this is getting ridiculous..

I read that mutating was actually good thing...? is that right?

Something about the virus mutating lead to it diyng faster. But i read it without paying attention. Does it work this way or in reverse mutating makes it stronger??

Sigh, the flu shot is different every year because different flu variants are hotter.

Too bad we couldn't get more people vaccinated, to stop the spread earlier.

I just read something on reddit where some anti-vaxer went on a plane sick with covid. People are so used to just working sick that they refuse to stop if it doesn't affect them personally badly. What's gonna happen to them, jail  no, hospital no, fired no, fined $ no. No repercussions for anti-vaxers.  Some of them are filling hospitals and dying, but I mean before they are exposed. Carrot or stick. Need a big stick, imo. Hate to see them getting a big carrot for being foolish.

We should have antibody-level passports so mass gatherings can be done safer. How many years do we the people have to struggle with large gatherings of people, while many fools continue to be anti-vax for bad reasons. Only 50% are fully vaxed in the USA and it's not a lack of availability.

:saladga:had to go off there.

It's already been in the US since July and is outcompeted by Delta

"Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said that health officials were maintaining a “close eye” on the mu variant despite it being “not at all even close” to becoming the dominant COVID-19 strain in the U.S."

The U.S. saw its peak of mu variant cases in mid-July but case numbers involving that variant have been declining since, signaling either a weakening of the strain or indicating a worrisome future.

(Idk what that last bit means other than just fearmongering but yeah, I wouldn't worry too much.)

Do you feel him sir?

I mean viruses to have variants is something pretty common. This is scary because we’re looking at covid very closely but all viruses like flu have variants and that’s why we keep getting vaccinated throughout the years. Maybe the same will happen to Corona, new vaccine shots every year
