But we need to keep in mind that there is a lot of stuff we can't do anything about as people who aren't health professionals. The best we can do now is get vaccinated asap (vaccines aren't useless, even if a variant is more resistant because it doesn't mean that it is fully resistant + other variants still exist), take booster shots when possible/needed and as often as needed, and keep following safety guidelines like masking up and washing hands, etc. I know it's tiring at this point but the more we pretend that things are fine or we act like we're over it, the worse it will get for everyone. Hospitalization numbers have shown how useful vaccines and safety guidelines have been. The stats are on our side, so let's at least trust them and keep doing what needs to be done.
