Ashniiko’s ad-libs in the Plastic Doll chorus just does it for me.
Rina’s verse in Free Woman is glorious. They really improved the song!

Just listening to Bree’s Babylon again and it is perfect!

There are only 3 tracks that I dislike. I’m happy with this album and I can’t stop listening

This is so good, it feels unreal she really released this. This is the experimental Gaga sound I wanted!

Free Woman, 911, Plastic Doll, Replay, BOTH versions of Babylon are my favorites

Sour Candy, Enigma, Rain On Me, Sine from Above and 1000 Doves are also good.

The only 3 I did not like instantly were Alice, Stupid Love, and Fun Tonight

doesn't mean it has to be good? i keep feeling like "hyperpop" is being used as a word to excuse music that's over-textured, over-synthetic and lazy

over-textured and over-synthetic are literally two of the defining aspects of hyperpop. it's supposed to be everything taken to a crazy level, hence the 'hyper'. it's pop, but everything is tuned up and over the top.

I just think it's funny how DOC is this huge deal when her previous remix albums barely generated any buzz (that I can remember, anyway).

Anyway, can't wait to listen to it :lolly:

IKR! We didn't get ARTPOP part 2, but we got this.

Stupid Love grew on me. The beat is amazing.

good for whom? Not for you, apparently (and definitely for a lot of people), but as you can see from other comments here, many people enjoy it.

Who's to define what's 'good' or what's 'bad', really?

Taste is taste. We can only accept we're going to enjoy some things more than others, and that's OK. Doesn't make anyone's taste better or worse than anyone else's.

in your opinion, but it feels backhanded to take two things that literally make a genre of music what it is and criticise it for being too 'that'. like yes it's over-textured and over-synthetic, whether you like it or not, that's the damn point.

you said you don't buy the 'it's hyperpop' argument because it's over-textured and over-synthetic, whereas if you knew it was hyperpop you should've expected those.

Bae I think you might be cherry picking. I feel like so far people are responding more favorably than when the album originally came out. None of the tracks really sound like they did before, the production is well done, there's cross promotion between all the collaborators, and we finally don't have to listen to the HL commercial on repeat to hear the beat anymore. Also, Gaga herself promoted something Chromatica related and it's not just merch or tour tickets.

I love this take. It does feel like a mini-Chromatica launch, but at least this time it's going well and she's giving fans the risky collabs we love her for. Nothing really leaked except for snippets that were intentional. The art is a smash and was a surprise for the most part. The vinyls surprise. The 911 BTS. GGD collabs and visuals. I wonder if critics will review and/or give it a higher score than the original. Very curious!

We should be happy.

absolutely rubbish, the only good one is the babylon remix the last one, I'm very disappointed, I expected it to be amazing, but it's crap, don't even get me started on alice, stupid love and rain on me, wtf was that rain on me about a stupid guy talking through it. what an absolute disaster, and gaga approved this? a lot of people are going to be disappointed. 🤬 I'll stick to the original album, it was perfect as it is

Ew.

This remix album is lowkey the BTW version of Chromatica. It has its rock / industrial sounds, a Latin inspired song, big production
