VoidTwo 259 Posted September 2, 2021 Share Posted September 2, 2021 Okay so I've listented and I have to say most of it isn't my cup of tea, mainly because I'm not into any of these artists and this kind of music at all (i.e. hyperpop-ish beats, pitched vocals etc sound like those bad fanmade remixes to me). BUT I suppose it is absolute fire for their fans, so congrats to them and I'm sure people will love the whole album! I liked Stupid Love, Free Woman, 911, Enigma, Replay and Babylon (both versions; Haus Labs is good, don't complain). Enjoyed them all really besides Alice and Stupid Love (legit what was the point of those). And I love the wackiness of Mood Killer's part in SFA, but it would be the best song on the whole thing if Gaga's part and Elton's part were both just done by Chester before Lil Texas comes in with that phenomenal outro. I knew no remix could match the original but this came close, it’s definitely an interesting take on the song that stands besides the original. Babylon HL is such a disappointment. And don’t clown on Babylon fans because this isn’t what we asked for. It sounds nothing like what was leaked. It literally sounds like they slapped the current Babylon acappella over an old concept instrumental they had laying around and said “hey, it’s Babylon Haus Labs, this will do”. Literally every fan recreation is better than this. Ideally what we should’ve gotten was the original concept of Babylon Haus Labs taken to its full potential, take the demo and polish it. Even just the demo would’ve sufficed. This is neither, it’s like they lost the original track and tried to recreate it from memory but had like two hours to do it lmao. Enigma remix is good too, though it sounds too much like “this is the club remix of the song”, which is fine, but I prefer remixes that are like different interpretations of the originals.
