Why do you keep bashing gaga for allegedly not giving him enough money she litteraly let him life in her house and paid for all his medical bills and therapy and who knows what more why is that not good enough for you

Her actions aren't proportionate to her wealth. She let him stay in her empty Hollywood house and sent a therapist every week for three months. That's not proportionate to someone worth over $300m+.

I adore Gaga but I'm not blinded by that. Anyone with her level of wealth should do more to help those nearest to her. That's my opinion and it's on the basis that she clearly hasn't given a substantial amount (relative to her wealth) or else this interview would've never happened.

No. I don't buy that they'd go to the press in this way if Gaga had given 500k. There's no way. She provided initial support for three months and paid his medical bills. That's fine if you think that's enough but I personally don't and I know if I had her net worth I'd be more generous with it.

I just really, really struggle with Gaga having millions of dollars in the bank and not giving Ryan a really substantial figure to rebuild his life and at the very least support him for a year. I just - I don't get it? Why wouldn't she? I love her as an artist but I won't hold her to a different standard. It's not right.

I mean, the article straight up says she paid his medical bills, gave him housing, got him a therapist, and paid his living expenses/salary/etc. for 3 months. I wouldn't be surprised if there had been more money, too, to prevent a lawsuit for emotional distress lawsuit, etc. that he's not mentioning. He also received over 20k in a gofundme.

What happened to him was awful, but it's not like she gave him nothing and left him high and dry. It's not even like she only gave him a little bit. 12 weeks of financial support post hospital when she's hardly his only employer (dude walked multiple dogs for multiple people) + housing + a therapist + medical is a pretty good deal. Sure, she could have just cut him a check for 250k to prevent this sort of thing but what she did give him was enough for him to get him off his feet/recover emotionally/etc. If he can't rebuild his life with that support, then that's an issue...and I say this as someone who was hit by a drunk driver and pretty badly injured several years ago. I would have killed to have someone financially support me for 3 months and give me housing after I got out of the hospital.

I don't know, maybe it's callous, but this isn't just a fan thing or even a Gaga thing but I've always thought the gu fund me culture of "something horrible happened, so let's give this person a million bucks" to be strange unless the person can never work again, needs medical help, or a parent died so a family has to be supported.

some of you are so obsessed with making gaga look like a bad guy lmao. gaga did more than enough for this guy. trying to slander her bc she didn't drop a large lump sum that goes beyond what she's already paid for is goofy. cry some more about a rich celeb not giving out handouts to a dude that clearly bleeds through money

From what Ryan has said himself it doesn’t sound like a lack of support is the issue. He has laid out that he is impulsive and just not very smart with money. That’s fine and yeah Gaga has money, but it’s truly up to her how she offers to help him. Living rent free in her mansion and getting medical and therapy paid for is already a HUGE support. But doing acts like that is probably the most helpful for him long term if he has a history of irresponsible financial decisions. If she can offer a place to stay and to pay for the tools needed to mentally heal in the form of therapy - while also getting rid of the burden of medication al debt that is MAJOR.

All aboard the "Gaga is selfish and a horrible person" train :vegas:

Never said that. I just believe in holding people to the same standard, regardless of who they are. My PERSONAL standard is that people with excessive wealth should support those nearest to them who need it. I don't think it's outrageous to suggest Gaga (who's worth over $300m) should give $500k (ish) to someone close to her who's life will never be the same again because of something that happened to him when he was working for her.

If this is targeted at me, I'm not obsessed with making Gaga look bad at all. I know that she is very philanthropic and has a kind heart. I'm just sharing my view that he support to Ryan, I think is not proportionate to her wealth. That's my opinion and I don't think it's crazy.

It is major but she has the resources to do more - so why not? That's my point. And it's clear she hasn't given a substantial amount in addition to what's been outlined, or else I do not believe Ryan would've allowed his assistant to suggest that Gaga didn't support him. It's clear for anyone who wants to see it that Gaga supported Ryan for three months and stopped that support - rightly or wrongly.
