She had some good songs but yeah she is rumoured to have had an attitude on occasion, but then others say she's lovely and she's done a huge amount of charity work and improved a lot of lives. I wouldn't have put her on an R&B show as she's pure dance/pop.

I dunno about her being rascist, I mean her ex husband was a black man. Doesn't mean she couldn't be but it is more unlikely that she was at the time. Remember she was completely cleared of all charges of racism. 

I feel like sometimes the rascist people are the ones who only see skin colour as a defining factor of who we are and what we can do instead of our actions.

If she was a co-host I would not mind but her being the LEAD host of this show when there are literally hundreds of Black British artists that can host such a show is troubling. Bring Jamelia or Alesha Dixon instead and have Cheryl like co host or something instead. Having Cheryl (who has never made RnB music) is so weird...

Yes she's had a controversial past , yes they are better options that could have been cast but let's just remember 2 things ,

1.)Cheryl didn't cast herself

I thought we'd moved past this argument and realized that people are capable of discussing multiple topics, especially those involving racism. Also the inherent hypocrisy in claiming this because you're still here too.

I think there's more poignant racial disparities to be discussed than who is hosting some BBC show that no one heard about to begin with, i mean,  this backlash literally made the show relevant .

there's probably going to be countless other shows like this , people can simply choose not to watch this one.

This is an issue that should've been ironed out years ago and only shows that there's still a long way to go as far as black recognition in entertainment. But by all means continue to gloss over it like it means nothing.

So by your logic, only the people that could have been cast for this job or "the people missing out".......have the liberty to speak on this topic?, yes that makes total sense.
