Dawn of Chromatica:

Some of the things already pointed out are:

•The longer wig

•The monster mouth

•The tribe symbols

•The fabric torn

•Metal suit

•Chromatica symbol is enclosed now

•Armadillo high heel (McQueen style)

Y’all have any thoughts on what the changes can represent? If they even represent something…

The guy who did the cover said the sine wave is melted.Maybe after darkness it comes the colour(I consider the og as a dark theme, while this one explodes with colours and happiness)

She looks more animated in line with the original artwork for Stupid Love that’s very retro themed, 80’s almost. If you look closely, I think—and might just be me—but her eyes look very green here. The monster mouth sounds like a nod to Mother Monster; the poster for Chromatica referred to it as new music from Mama Monster. The longer hair and metal suit to me scream that time has passed on Chromatica and maybe this is the dawn of a new beginning; the new beginning being the remixes of the 13 core tracks. I’m wondering if the neon green is the current aesthetic on her world whereas before it was all of that hot barbie pink. Also, the sine symbol is rusted almost melted even so time definitely has passed and almost feels like the world has changed or reset, which aligns with the idea of the remixes.

I kind of assumed it was Chromatica post/including the tribes?

Vaguely related but I always got this vibe from that ´90s Kids show from NZ called The Tribe, especially in the SL MV. Even moreso with this cover.

I lived for this when I was a kid for a few years

Speaking of the sine and time passing by, noticed how the “Sine symbol” (I called it Chromatica symbol) has scratches and damage? But why is it enclosed now? :oprah:

I strongly believe there’s something behind the green tarp that will complete the image.

The creator mentioned that they chose a neon green background for maximum contrast

The reflection shows it’s a parallel universe. The creator has elaborated on this design choice on twitter

Probably the pink(teeth) melted the sine and took over it

Out of something old comes something new.

@Kimmo I think the symbol being closed is maybe a nod to how it was always closed in every other image for the most part. Or it could be that the journey and story behind Chromatica is coming full circle as a parallel world maybe.

The perspective seems slightly off for me. Gaga and the “door” thing she’s on are way smaller than in the original cover, suggesting that she’s already quite deeply inside the mouth. The fairy/mouth thing however doesn’t seem big enough to make up for it + the fact that it’s ABOVE the sine makes it even worse :oprah:

•The longer wig: more wig to snatch from us with the music.

•The monster mouth: Little Monsters torture ha, she's literally being eaten alive by the stans, leaving only that metal armor as her skeleton around the green gooish toxic waste (stan culture)

•Chromatica symbol is enclosed now: she's coming full circle, putting an end to the era.

Just answered above :ohwell:

The green slime(?) initially looked like green screen to me, haha. I think the new cover is cool and fit for a remix album. There's just too much going on for my taste, to the point it feels a bit cluttered. Nothing will top the slayage of the OG cover. :firega:
