Once the two weeks passed, my whole family + friendcircle will be on the verge of full vaccination. Even tho many were sceptic about it, they decided to read, learn and understand the importance. It makes me really sad bc I don't want any of you to be the ones who end up in the hospital begging for a vaccine when it's too late. If you mistrust the government, here is my argument: why would the government push something that would harm the entire population? Especially in the US where we are brutal capitalists who need our hundreds of millions of workers to continue exploiting for profits If you are scared of the potential for long-term side effects, does it sound better to you to wait 10 years and see what happens while we continue to stifle our lives through lockdowns, social distancing, canceling major events, experiencing mass death (100k more people are projected to die before the end of the year in the US), watch our healthcare workers burn out and supplies dwindle, etc.? A vaccine is like the worst, longest way to actually harm the Population, because it takes so long. It's a moral responsibility to be vaccinated as it helps not just me but the people I come contact with to some extent. Covid has done enough damage already. Anti-vaxxers forget that it's not just their personal choice because it has an effect (and a bad one at that) on all of us... they forget that they are endangering others...(not just themselves) It's just like speed control - it is there to protect you from yourself and even more so to protect others. We don't live alone in this world - we share it and therefor have to have rules. And if you don't want to follow the rules you will have to suffer the consequences. And I am pretty sure the consequences for people who could get the vaccines and refuse them will come - and rightfully so, because they help killing people with their behavior.
