The agreement isn’t even the point, the point is that this whole situation is the biggest failure of American foreign policy since Vietnam. The withdrawal process has been a DISASTER at the helm of this administration

Again, what was the alternative? Occupying Afghanistan for another 20 years? America's "nation-building" (aka imperialism) doesn't work and it's detrimental to the world. But what's new. You're focusing on the wrong part of the problem here. This invasion should've never happened to begin with.

NO ONE thinks we still should have been in Afghanistan, at least I don’t. Why focus on us being there in the first place when the biggest issue right now is that Americans were abandoned, we basically initially threw our hands in the air to the Taliban taking over again, and we’ve offered little to no retaliation until now?

Just a reminder that the Taliban and ISIS are separate groups. We are retaliating against ISIS who bombed the airport, not the Taliban. We are still acknowledging a Taliban controlled Afghanistan

So you're just freely criticizing something with arguments you get out of your ass? The President is obviously advised by expert military advisors, and they surely considered everything a person on a Lady Gaga forum can consider. It's easy to criticize how a global superpower who's been leaching off a country for the past two decades can pull out off it when you aren't the one making the decisions.

Thye bombed ISIS guys not the Taliban. The Taliban is terrible but ISIS is far WORSE. Let's hope the Taliban can defeat ISIS otherwise Afghanistan may get taken over not by the Taliban which seems to be willing to moderate itself a tiny bit but instead we'd be dealing with an Afghanistan controlled by ISIS which is FAR more dangerous.
