All Islamists are the same. They hate music, laughter, joy, friendship, women, basically anything that brings joy to people. It’s an inferiority complex caused by jealousy of others who are able to live their lives normally and happily, they just want everyone else to be miserable like they are.

Coming from Turkey, a culturally muslim majority country, we all know how horrible Islamists are, thanks to Erdogan. The West supported Erdogan 20 years ago because he had become “moderate”, they dismissed us seculars as anti-democratic, supported his referendums that guttered our rule of law and established institutions, he then filled them up with his cronies and is ruining our country and democracy.

The “moderate” talk is nonsense, there is no “moderate” in Islam…

North Korea, China have no state religion and are doing the same now. There hasn’t been any noticeable movement in Islam for reform in so long as there has been in Christianity, so it is a problem within Islam.

The Quran says men can have four wives, a witness testimony of two women equals that of one man (one woman as a witness is not enough), they must cover themselves from men outside their family/husband etc. There’s a lot of backward stuff in Christianity too, but it’s not as widely practiced and supported as it is in Islam, which is its problem. But agree it’s secularism that solves everything.

I've spent a lot of time in Southeast Asia, which is majority-Muslim, and I would argue they are far more liberalized compared to Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East. But i do agree with you that Islam as theocracy is currently- and has been for about a century- the worst nation-state type in the world.

I figured it was a harmless enough pun! I'm glad it wasn't received negatively. The situation here is tragic and I can't imagine living under this level of fear and tyranny. It only gets exponentially worse by the day, and there's not much anyone can do about it. It's a nightmare unfolding in front of all of us.
