This should get an award for… the most boring album of the year :saladga:

I know people don't love the direction, but surely it's not that bad? I know it's very Taylor Swift with just a guitar but surely there are songs worth a listen?

These comments prove it's as divisive as the insiders said it was going to be. Taken from the Solar Power discussion thread:

· Will be hugely acclaimed by the critics, some fans will be divided, the synth-bop stans will be disappointed and jump the ship, some complaints will be "all of the album sounds the same, there are no Green Lights or bangers", stoners will love this album, it's a mature natural direction for her to take, no teen drama or messiness, incredibly wise and confident, surprise background vocalists etc.

· Lorde's new album doesn't sound anything like Pure Heroine or Melodrama. She moved on from that sound and the fans looking for that kind of edgy teen sound will have to stick with Olivia. The sonic shift will be jarring and divisive.

· It's her take on NFR!

I like it and see the grower potential. There's a wisdom in her lyrics that I can personally relate to, and feel like it echoes what I feel and how I see things at this point in my life

So to get a pure heroine or melodrama i should listen to Olivia? Feels like something only the JOKER would say/write

Quizás bastaba respirar, sólo respirar, muy lento...💙

Well why those songs aren't longer? Every time I started getting into the mood of a song I just wanted more INSTRUMENTAL, but the songs quickly finished. Pleaseee not everything must be filled with singing!

Hold No Grudge can go away. Too crowded with lyrics. However Helen Of Troy should have been on standard!

You are probably the first person I've seen who understood the assignment of solar power 🤣 smoke and just contemplate your life and find your peace while sitting on a beach in the sun. I plan on listening tomorrow at the beach while I smoke... let's be real, the reason a lot have hated solar power and SATNS is cuz they don't live that vibe lifestyle.

This! I can’t way to get stoned to sh!t and just mellow out to it. :flower:

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

i'm not even done with this yet but i can safely say it's on the same level as melodrama AND pure heroine. everyone was talking about it like it was a pile of trash when realistically, let's be honest, they were just disappointed there weren't any pop bops. i don't know about you but i don't want green light to be regurgitated again and again and again.

Secrets from a Girl best song from the album

The lyrics hit me so hard :cryga:

Couldn't wait to turn fifteen

Then you blink and it's been ten years

Growing up a little at a time, then, all at once
