US to advise COVID booster shot after 8 months

I’m not super familiar with booster shots from an immunology knowledge standpoint but from what I understand, it’s the same vaccine as the first dose. As in there’s no special booster vaccine; you just get another dose. 
 

I’m glad they’re doing this I know there’s quite a few people who have been getting their third shots unofficially since here in the US there’s no central database with everyone’s vaccination records. We just have the cards from CDC

I'm completely fine with boosters but we need to get vaccines out to the poorer countries first before a new variant appears and we need to adjust all the vaccines. I scared that greed and short term thinking is going to keep dragging the pandemic on and on.

They expected to be like seasonal flu as in it will occur every year. And seasonal flu literally has a yearly jab

I don’t take a yearly flu jab, I don’t know anyone who does, doctors I know don’t want to even jab people for the seasonal flu unless they have serious underlying issues and/or insist on it. If you need a vaccine for corona I’m not arguing about that, but every year? When will we be finally over it?  it’s not normal to introduce vaccine passes to do simple things for years to come? And I already had corona so my body can fight it too.

I know plenty of people where I live who take a flu shot every year even when they don't have any underlying conditions so I'm not sure what you're talking about.

And COVID is not the flu, it's worse. We will be over it when enough people take the vaccine (and the boosters) to weaken it to the point that it stops being a global danger. And it's very normal to introduce vaccine passes as long as people refuse to get vaccinated, otherwise the pandemic will only be prolonged and worsened.

And natural immunity will only last you a few months, after which you should get the vaccine and its booster shots.

Natural immunity doesn’t last very long. It’s very normal to introduce vaccine passes. These things have been around for ages and prime example, you couldn’t go to school without confirmation your kid got all their shots. You make it sound like you’re the only person inconvenienced by all of this.
