Madonna’s relationship with WBR in the later years (2000-2008) was very fraught, and they were constantly butting heads in regards to her creative choices. They even sued each other in 2004. Madonna said it was going to be very hard to move forward working with them after that, which is why she had no problem moving on when her contract was up.
