Do you have vinyl from your favorite artists?

Do you collect them?

Which one is your favorite?

I have several

most by Lordi, Gaga and Michael Jackson

some by Madonna, some by Cyndi lauper, 1 from nicki and 2 from Katy.

even if you don’t play them, they’re beautiful to collect. The feeling of holding a vinyl with the giant cover in your hands and the disc itself (especially if it’s a special edition) is beyond thrilling for me as a music lover and collector

Yk retro / vintage is in. I personally love the format. As I described before, it’s a good feeling when you actually hold a big physical album in your hands. Just try it :nick:

I seriously regret sometimes how much money I spend on vinyl but I can't stop :messga: I have definitely toned down my habit but I still have over 100+ records and the thought of getting rid of any single one hurts my heart lol.

For me it is that I love music and am a big nerd, so stuff like going to a store that has vintage records and finding something unique, rare or an artist I was unfamiliar with but looks interesting is a highly rewarding experience.

That + the aesthetics of the big album artwork, sometimes big booklets, different coloured vinyl are also pleasing.

It just feels special. To me it is almost like buying merch of your fave artist, with the bonus of quality, warm sound when listening to the album.

Also something about the record spinning on the turn table with the needle travelling over the grooves, it creates a specific atmosphere that seems more conducive to truly appreciating and experiencing the music.

If you care about your finances don’t star I have a relatively small collection of 20+ but I have easily spent 900+ $, it is very fun and it’s nice to have a physical copy of a beloved album. I try to only buy albums that I like 90% of the songs from. It’s very addictive though so think long and hard:ally:

Most of my vinyls are early Dylan, and the old hard blues like Leadbelly, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee.  A few years ago I attended a Rickie Lee Jones concert and before the show the people around me were discussing Joni Mitchell.  They insisted I buy her album Blue in vinyl.  I told them with my bad hearing I would not be able tell the vinyl from the CD.  They said I would hear the difference.

If I bought vinyls now they would remain unwrapped keepsakes just like all my Gaga CDs.

I live outside the space time continuum.

I have some but want to start buying more, they're beautiful to look at if you're a collector. So far the only ones I have are:

Gaga - Born This Way, Joanne, A Star Is Born, The Fame+The Fame Monster Urban Outfitters, Chromatica Trifold.

Manson - We Are Chaos, Heaven Upside Down, Pale Emperor.

Lorde - Melodrama

Amy - Back To Black

Sia - 1000 Forms of Fear

Daft Punk - Random Access Memories

Buying pretty soon:

Billie - Happier Than Ever and When We All Fall Asleep.

On my list to buy eventually:

Cher - Believe

ABBA - Gold

Madonna - Ray of Light, Confessions, Music, American Life and Madame X.

P!nk - Missundaztood

Avril - Under My Skin and Let Go

Adele - 21 and 25.

ARTPOP with Do What U Want. Gonna be expensive but don't want it without it.
