Okay but there is NO tangible actions being taken what so ever, no long term plans to restructure societies, nothing. Of course they want you to feel like you can't change, but the truth is they have convinced too many people of that, too many people also are unwilling to change their comfortable lifestyles, and the rich & corporations simply have too much power.

That's an overly simplistic view of how this works. "Greener" options are often not significantly more environmentally friendly than conventional products, are inaccessible to low income people, harder to find in general, or just flat out trying to capitalize off of naive well meaning people. The powerful and wealthy people valuing their bottom line over the planet, to the point they will lobby politicians and silence science & research are to blame.

I mean, this is getting sh*tty, but is there any chances we don't destroy this planet? I would like to be optimistic but this has me being the most pessimistic person I know, and I don't like that

Maybe people in wealthy countries will survive, but millions and millions in so called "third world countries" will die first.

I feel you, it feels so hard recently to be part of this world when everything is just so shitty. Ive decided to cut off a lot of social media and to stop watching tv. I really recommend doing that, it lowered my anxiety. Id even recommend 1 week without ur phone or laptop and going to the countryside if you can, and just live like old times, listening to music, walking and feeling the nature, going home cooking, then to bed reading a book. It calms you down. The difference between people from the past to now is that they weren't bombarded by information 24/7, and I think if they were, they'd be so depressed as well, there's always something bad happening on this planet. If you shut it out and choose ignorance for a little while, and only filter out a tiny DOSAGE of information to keep up, like people did by reading the newspaper for a couple minutes once a week or something, it keeps you sane.

I didn’t choose for my every day needs to be wrapped in plastic. I didn’t choose to drive a car that pollutes the environment. 

They made these choices for us and have given us literally no choice if we want to exist in modern society. 

All they have to do is switch to greener sources/products and the masses will follow along.

Instead of admitting capitalism and greed is what led to this, they’ll pivot to blaming immigrants, refugees and minorities for “taking your resources” when in reality they’re the thieves. It already kind of works in different forms all around the world. They’ll perfect it to an art form.

There are many alternatives that are greener that people simply choose not to buy because they are more expensive or consume more time. In many cases, it's still about the choices we make.
