i feel like he’s in a weird place because the people around him also feel homophobic and exhausted by gays existing, so by apologizing he must feel like a joke to them 

that’s my hypothesis - because anyone in their right mind would have sincerely apologized and promised to change by this point.

All you need to do is listen to  almost any rap song to see how homophobic and ignorant the community can be , we didn't need dababy to spotlight this. If it brings more conversations to the issue then fine but i don't see how keeping tabs on what dababy does is helping achieve that .

probably just noticed that someone from his PR team posted it on his Instagram while he was sleeping so he deleted this

Id be willing to bet maybe it was him who actually wrote it but hes pressed at how bad hes being cancelled and in anger with the ppl on internet removed the apology (that he never truly meant) to people he felt dont deserve it for that mucb backlash.
