ThisGuyTony 29,042
We could potentially hit 1M+ tomorrow. 1
Dennis 8,391
I think if this doesnt become a hit we just cant blame "lack of promo". I mean the movie is going to make like 130M$ over the weekend in the U.S alone. It in itself is a huge promotion platform.

It took 5 months… https://www.billboard.com/charts/hot-100/1986-09-13/?rank=1 https://www.officialcharts.com/search/singles/take-my-breath-away-(love-theme-from-'top-gun')/ Though it maybe irrelevant at today landscape. I mean even shallow peaked two months after release. So i guess chill? I think shazam could be a great indicator TMBA was actually released as the second single from the soundtrack in June and peaked in September. So there was a three-ish month gap between release and peak. 1
LateToCult 39,635
On Gaga’s artist profile page (AM US) the song slipped down to #61 under DIC. They aren’t touching it on that platform. Edited May 28, 2022 by LateToCult
Sherry 4,709
What's with the Shallow comparisons? HMH is a different song from a different movie which is from a different era in her career. Instead of comparisons, stream the song and help it chart. Love it when you call me legs, in the morning buy me eggs 🥚
whiteboi1327 78
The song with combining versions is around #2/3 on iTunes. It’s on future hits playlists and other playlists. Within the next two weeks it will get added to other playlists that feature current hits. It is growing on radio. I like the approach they are taking because they are promoting the song like we are in the 90s and it is still on track to becoming a hit. They are most likely waiting until it grows to top it off with a live performance. We will win in the end. 1

I do wonder if they try to push the two singles as well (I ain't worried x Hold My Hand) ala Danger Zone - Take My Breath away. The one scenario I remember I think Love Me Like You Do x Earned It while the first peaked #3, the latter peak higher #2. Interscope should've not let this slide... Beyoncé's Spirit was the theme song for The Lion King, a movie that grossed 1.7B at the worldwide box office and still didn't make any noise on the charts. No movie can work miracles for a song, every song, movie theme or not, needs streaming push if the artist wants it to become a hit, that's how you play the game in the streaming era.
