But why is it “only” in theaters November 24th, 2021? Is it suggesting a single theater date? Or is it their way of saying that it premieres on that date? I think if anything, it fits this movie more, considering it's about a murder and all. I mean, a lot of crime movies have similar trailers. I thought that the trailer played the dramatic elements fine, but I really don't understand the whole "campness" critique. Who started that? Who first said that this would be a "campy" movie? I always assumed it'd be more of a drama/crime movie, which is what the trailer gave us. I think with the ASIB trailer it worked because it was accompanied by original music specifically from the film, and the editing matched the music. The trailer felt like a carefully crafted thing made specifically for that movie. With this one, using a very popular old song and very overused stock sounds, the whole thing just feels a bit cheap. You're definitely right about the camp thing though, they never promised that so I shouldn't have expected it. I guess what I meant was I hoped it would just have a more specific flavour/vibe, rather than just a straightforward crime drama. But I definitely won't judge the movie until seeing it. That said though this is just my personal critique of the trailer, which isn't that important. With this cast and director I have no doubt the movie will be excellent. I think it's just to emphasise that it won't go direct to streaming services like a lot of movies have this past year. They want to make clear it will get a traditional theatrical release. Only in Theaters Nov. 24 means the movie will be exclusively available in theaters (as opposed to streaming services) starting November 24. Former First Lady of the United States.
