Canada Wont Have Vaccine Passport Ready Till 2022 Most Likely

Canada is really behind on a standardized National plan to authentisize vaccine passports as proof of vaccination. Its still unclear if this will be used only for travel or if more uses will be added.

 

As of right now slow development and cordination places it being ready in December 2021 at the very earliest but most likely not until 2022

 

Provinces have their own authentication systems but especially for international travel Countries would more easily recognize one official National authention system rather than 13 different regional systems. Some Provinces only provide a paper authentication with no digital option.

It might be good for domestic.
but Won't they still need that for travelling abroad? Some countries will require that now.

None of you can really afford the risk of travelling out of country anyway.

If you go to almost any country, even if you're vaccinated, you need a negative covid test to return home.  Even vaccinated you can get covid.

When you get stranded waiting for your covid to go away you are responsible for your own accommodations and even booking your return flight in some cases if the airline won't let you move your flight to another day.  And, if you need more time off work...

Stay in your own damn countries because you're all poor.

People will drive across the border, to Seattle for those who live in Vancouver, to get cheaper groceries and goods from USA

you'll more likely be fine, but it's a good idea to find out what the requirements are to come home and to have a rough plan of what you'll do if you happen to catch the virus.

Did u read OP? Travelling is the main purpose of the National Vaccine Authenticity program

 

They may add other uses for vaccine passport later but at this time theres no comfirmed plans for that
