The reason why COVID is so bad is because of its incredibly high rate of transmissibility. While monkeypox does also spread through respiratory droplets, it's not nearly as contagious. As for monkey B, it's incredibly hard to get it as it requires direct contact with an infected monkey (usually through scratches/cuts, but it can also spread through bodily fluids) in fact, only one case of human to human transmission of monkey B has ever been recorded.
