I don't know if she has a path to #1 in dance-pop music for much longer and the GP clearly loved the ASIB music more than any of her latest pop records. Just watch her interviews from Chromatica -- she wants her music to reach as many people as possible. That's why she brought on Max Martin after refusing to for years. You think she collabed with Blackpink bc she respects them as "artists"? She wanted worldwide hits and radio domination. She's never been an "indie" artist that only cares about the music. Yeah and it’s not necessary. And my point was more towards the fans who actually want her to keep on appeasing people and restricting herself just to be successful. And that also doesn’t work for long, she won’t remain commercially successful forever, she might as well try new and bold things than desperately cling to a hit.
