The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) will reportedly drop the “Best Group” category going forward

The report comes from a Billboard article discussing the first-round ballot for the 2021 VMAs.

The VMAs are apparently dropping the best group category, which they brought back in 2019 following a 12-year absence. BTS won the last two years.

Giving it to BTS again would have been ridiculous, but NOT giving it to them would have made their fans attack MTV. So I don't know, good choice?

Awards are a joke now (like the charts) so I personally really don't care.
