I also don't think the more powerful countries of the EU would be keen to lose a lot of their power to form one country. Exactly. It does strike me as quite odd considering Germany and other wealthier European countries would end up having to pay for Spain and Greece's huge debts. (Most likely she will stay, she is more popular than ever) She wants, but France (Sarkozy and now Hollande ...) don't.
