Why does The Fame still rule the EDM charts?

Not to discredit the amazingness of The Fame, but how/why does it still rule the EDM charts even after nearly 13 years? There are of course other EDM artists out there and even more recent Gaga albums that could lead the chart. So how does The Fame still sell enough to remain number 1?

I really think it's hard to overstate how huge Gaga was during the fame/fame monster era, it almost felt like she was the only pop star who mattered at the time. That era brought a whole theatrical flair and over the top style to pop in a way that made all sorts of artists follow its lead by allowing themselves to get weird with their image. Also totally anecdotal here, but its the only time I can think of where even my 50 year old parents were eagerly awaiting a pop artist's singles and videos because the shock value attached to her during that era had all sorts of people in the gp wondering what she'd do next

Because it’s a classic, it’s like the Thriller of the 21st century. Name another album that could take that title, there are non!

This was this the album that redefined pop music at a time when pop was kind of at a stand still. We still had Britney (who was keeping things afloat) but then Gaga came crashing in with this album that forever changed the course of modern pop. I would guess this is why. The songs all still sound fresh and timeless.

Ok ok ok, I know that Gaga and talent and groundbreaking album are all valid and honestly preferred answers, but are there no other EDM artists that can beat a 13 year old album?!? :wtfga: or is it really just that niche?

Poker Face and Just Dance ALONE are the most timeless dance-pop songs of the last fifteen years.

The entire album sounds :sis:

They do beat it in the debut week and a couple of weeks after but EDM albums never have longevity. I bet RAM by Daft Funk is somewhere in the top too and it came out the same year. That was the peak of EDM.

Also EDM albums are rare now. Usually songs are released randomly without an album release. The song chart is probably more up to date with what's being heard in EDM.

Edit: It wasn't the same year. I got confused with ARTPOP.
