I excepted something completely else and sadly I'm too dumb to get all of the references. Definitely will dive into it more cause the video looks amazing!

Normani is irrelevant outside the US and even there she hasn't scratched the top 20 despite being active for a couple of years.

I don't get why she's considered a new Beyonce or sth here. :bear: Her vocals are weak af.

The video is so good. She’s so talented.

However the song does not slap. It sounds like a 2000 reject.

Disappointed. Another artist with big potential but a questionable management. Motivation will turn 2 this year and Wild Side was sitting in her lap for many months. The whole process of her debut album(?) is taking so slow, time was clearly not well spent on her, me thinks, and the choice of this song proves it, regardless of how gorgeous her visuals are...

And their attempts of making this song an event with such promo-

- just makes me think that this is the best that they can offer us. If this marks her "big" comeback (again) when she hasn't actually arrived, then consider me out of the Normani hype train...

If you haven’t heard her colab, Slow Down, with Calvin Harris from a couple years ago you need to listen to it. It flew under the radar but it’s so good :firega:

Stunning video & crazy good choreo, but the song is boring.. I can’t get into any of her stuff, it just always feels flat. Cardi added nothing to the song.

Cardi B is Don't Call Me Angel's Lana.

It's just fine... and that the problem

Her company need to learn not to hype the **** up then just drop out a 2000's R&B piece that feels never end and just hope it can work.

Normani is that newcoming artist that gives me hope again for the future of rnb. She's a performer, something that's been lacking for a very long time, you can tell she appreciates those who came before us (something barely anyone does now, in some cases some making fun of the greatest artists of our time), she seems inspired by Aaliyah, Beyoncé, Janet Jackson.... the ones who put on a show, cared about quality over quantity, didn't do things half assed for money (although im not a big fan of Beyoncé she's a performer). She has an immense talent that I love, and I want it to be developped more with good producers she could bring back what Ive loved and missed for years and years. Good rnb with good beats and amazing performances (she blew me away already with motivation live performance). This song lacks an impactful chorus for me but I love the ending of it, it's a throwback to all those good ass rnb songs from 00s or 90s, I wish the beat was more interesting, maybe she's just a lost Aaliyah who needs her Timbaland and I hope she finds it, I hope she finds someone where they just create magic together and change the music industry together.

As for Cardi B, I think she's boring, untalented and her raps are messy but I get it, you gotta sell, I hope she boosts her at least

Normani feels like a Rita Ora to me. Everyone talks about them, but I have yet to hear anything that’s noteworthy. Her music sounds like it could be sung anyone. Much luck to her on finding a good producer.

She agreed that normani needs to work on her personal branding? Good to know.
