this is kinda problematic xd

Yeah.. generalizing a whole group of people like that, especially gay men, is pretty wrong IMO. We can all laugh and kiki about it but to make a tweet as a high profile celeb... it just doesn't sit right with me.

I think if you were really honest with yourself you would admit that negativity towards female artists is an issue among the gay community. Obviously not all but I've seen articles written about it too. I actually feel sorry for gay fans who don't like to trash talk bc it must suck to be tarred with that rep.

I feel like criticism towards artists extends to every community and genre of music you can think of though. A high profile celeb should really not be tweeting this out regardless.

And, mind you, this Tweet comes from someone who has started/engaged in feuds with multiple other women in rap including Nicki Minaj and Doja Cat without any influence from external bodies -- it's all been her. So this is just inappropriate.

I agree about Cardi not exactly being pristine but disagree that artists shouldn't call it out. Gaga has ignored it for years and it's not getting better. I've been in numerous fandoms over the years and there's always problematic behaviour and trashing other fandoms but I've never seen it aimed AT the person we are supposed to stan. It's fkn weird how normalised it is.

Twitter and the obsession of social media (aka narcissism) is the problem. It has enabled too many terrible people to finally “say” what their disgusting minds tell them without the consequences of saying it out loud to people they deal with on a daily basis. And not only that, hundreds and thousands of people support and enable them and their insidious “drags” towards people they don’t even know.

it is a problem in the gay community (not only)

but gay community, not "twinks"

it's really wierd for her to use words like that and categorize people with labels she's not really familiar with

it plays on stereotypes and sounds kinda insulting

+it's too sensitive topic to just tweet "y'all are wierd, you twinks"

red wine, cheap perfume and a filthy pout

This is really annoying because it's not just white gays, it's all gays that do this and perpetuate it ad nauseum on twitter. No lies were told, regardless.

If a celebrity that was considered “white” said something like this tho about another ethnicity 👀

I truly think she's getting at white gays who think they have a black woman inside them.

Very that :bear: the new f word for people who can't use the f word.

Y’all kill me. She’s saying she sees a lot of gay men pitting women in the industry against each other and you put the word f4g in her mouth…

honestly not surprising..
