Theaters in my city are also playing the movie, but i don't wanna go because no one here is vaccinated. Reality 71,881 Posted July 9, 2021 Share Posted July 9, 2021 Overall, I really liked it! ** Spoilers ahead! ** Spoiler Like I said, overall, I really enjoyed it. I loved Scarlett Johansson's performance as well as Florence Pugh's. They were definitely the two highlights of the film. David Harbour and Rachel Weisz were pretty good too. That said, I do like the first 2/3 of the movie much more the final act. I loved the family dynamic between those four, and the entire sequence at Melina's house was the best imo. The emotional heartbeats of the family made me tear up sometimes. The action sequences were also spectacular. I read a couple of reviews before watching the film and a lot of people said that this movie had a ton of action, and they weren't lying! The choreo was great, that said, sometimes the directing wasn't. A lot of the shaky cam and quick shots made it a bit disorienting to actually see what's going on sometimes. The third act, however, was fairly generic. To be honest, I thought the whole "pheromone lock" thing was pretty stupid. Like, couldn't Natasha just get far away enough from him not to smell him and just shoot him? And while I like the reveal that Taskmaster is Dreykov's daughter, I also just didn't really care for Taskmaster as a character. She was fine, but nothing special. Also, some of the CGI wasn't the best. The post-credit scene was pretty cool though! Valentina was supposed to appear here first, but because of the pandemic and rescheduling of the MCU projects, she first appeared in FATWS. I guess this means that Yelena's going to be in the Hawkeye show?? If that's the case, I'm super excited for that! I really liked Yelena's character and I'm excited to see more of her in the MCU.
