A lot of people on pop forums are rarely rational when it comes to Madonna :laughga:

If Lil Nas X is Ok with it why are we supposed to be pressed

Because according to this place Madonna is a mean and nascicistic bitch and everything she does needs to fit with that narrative.

She might do and has done lots and lots of good for the world, but people on stan twitter just ignore that and jump on her throat at every opportunity.

Um is anyone else weirded out by the fact she called herself a “master” of two black persons :awkney:

This is the exact type of thing that the world has become!

The woman is talking about ‘master’ as in ‘artistic master’, but of course we need to get offended and make it about slavery on behalf of two people who didn’t give a ****, and could clearly see the reference.

M, B and Jay-Z have been friends for decades. Stop reaching.

Who’s offended. Not me boo :toofunny: i couldn’t care less if she likes to make shady comments about people she is allegedly friends with. She is still out of touch with reality

Err, not sure if this is supposed to be some "gotcha" for yesterday's thread, but the fact he even had to make the clarification shows how tasteless, attention seeking and belittling her story came off.

It was obvious Madonna was trying be cheeky, she fell flat.

Kinda like this:

It's ok to call out her superiority complex and narcissism. You Madonna stans will live.

Not "master" :rip:

Exactly. She's a legend who should be revered, but her behavior can be tone deaf sometimes.

I was saying this in the other thread, but it became diarrhea city.

I'm glad they're great friends, just like all of us :flop:

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

The mental gymnastics here to just state that you don’t like Madonna is laughable.

And to say that Madonna has not shown support for Britney without knowing for a fact if she has approached her privately - which I’m 100% sure she has - just proves my point that you simply want to hate on Madonna.

Doing a performative #FreeBritney post won’t free Britney or make much of a difference. A lots of the celebs doing it are doing it for clout, and not because they care about Britney.

On the other hand, knowing M and Brit’s history, I know they have certainly been in touch. Same with Gaga. She hasn’t said anything - are you assuming she doesn’t care?

So yes, stick to the fake #FreeBritney celebs that just show support performatively for visibility and to signal they are supposedly good people, when in fact they don’t give two cents about her.

You seem to have an unhealthy level of anger about others' opinions of Madonna - I'd like to gently remind you that she does not pay your bills, and does not need to be defended.

There are no mental gymnastics on my end - I'm a lifelong Madonna fan, own most of her albums on CD and vinyl, and have seen her in concert 3 times. Over the last decade I've slowed down on defending her because in my opinion she has become incredibly tone deaf and even more removed from reality due to her privilege.

I am allowed to criticize her, and I'm not going to let my love of her work blind me from the fact that she injected herself into Lil Nas X's moment as a gay black man. She trended on twitter worldwide last night for her post. It's gross.

As for Britney... Madonna, as the so-called Queen of Pop, could have more influence by making a public statement than anyone else in the music industry to be frank. But she's more interested in reminding everyone of the definitive moment of Britney's downfall than posting about her fight for her basic human rights. I'm not assuming she doesn't care, but I am assuming she's more interested in talking about herself - something she proves over and over again.
