Also... air conditioning is really not THAT common in private households all over Europe and the Northern US/Canada. AC is quite common actually In really old houses like old parts of Toronto most ppl have to get the portable window ones But any house less than 50 years old typically was already build with Central AC. My city is a suburb mostly built in the last 40-50 yeats, pretty much every house has AC. My house eas built in 1971. They managed to get fired from a job every 1-2 years Btw that girl i told u about that made the harrassment claims that the camera footage didnt back up, she ended up only being suspended not fired We cant legally fire someone for drinking without a brethalizer test to prove it (no matter how sure we are of it). Also the false claims we cant totally prove were completely baseless. He could of made some inapropriate joke or something else for all we know and because of her drinking she embellished the story. The cameras only prove he didnt touch her there but we cant really prove the rest didnt happen cuz we cant make out the conversation with loud machines in background So shes coming back on tuesday As one of the management comitee members, i gotta tell u a handful of employees give me some serious headaches with that girl being the worst one. U have no idea its a soap opera sometimes The nice part about being in the comitee is every morning we have a half hour meeting with Headquarters in Montreal. Its a nice break from the heat in AC board room When I started they werent as forgiving in certain things but i think the issue is that despite decent pay and benefits and long breaks, perfect attendance reward gift cars etc, the turnover is still horrendous. I guess a dusty noisy place just isnt for everyone and were often short staffed. So if they fire ppl too often it would be even worse so they end up keeping a lot of mediocre employees unless they are just super terrible But its a pain cuz when ppl are goofing off, taking 15 minute washrooms breaks, showing up half an hour late or just away all the time production often suffers then HR is on the lead members backs (which includes me) Not every employee is like that but a lot are. This new plasma guy was hired 3 weeks ago and only showed up 3 days so far cuz of a "tooth ache" and he hasnt even brought a doctors note. Another new guy keeps coming up to me to snitch on every single trivial thing someone does wrong even tho he screws up more than just about everyone else and frankly its just annoying to be interupted for trivial sh*t And that girl that got suspended i can write an entire essay on her issues alone God i hate ppl sometimes Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
