Is this the first time monsters haven't been ready to move onto a new era?

I guess cuz it felt liķe a missed oppurtunity

But sh*t happens. Covid happened and ruined some plans... its not to anyones advantage including Gagas career to try and drag out an old era so it can get its tour and keep promoting it

She might as well move on tbh

I honestly hoped that Chromatica gets the underrated album treatment that ARTPOP did, from what would’ve been Born This Way hype and promo to COVID just pissing it all away it’s been a real shame

It's sad to see chromatica die cause, let's be honest, we know very well just how huge and amazing this era could've been with more promo (and without covid) not to mention how good of an album it is, but as others have said, I think gaga just moved on from the album :ohno:

I'm not hating on Chromatica, I love it, but I am also skeptic when fans refer to it as "her best received album in years" because what that usually means is that that fan just likes electro/poppy Gaga instead of her branching out to other genres and media. This is obvious also by the way OP describes Chromatica compared to ASIB and C2C.

It's objectively her best received album according to music review aggregators

In my opinion she will release CTR closer to CB. Or I just like to cling to that idea. Her giving up on Chromatica is something I can't acknowledge and accept. This album would be huge. Rain On Me was a #1 hit and we know SC would be too. There would have been many successful singles: 911, Replay, Alice, Babylon. I just can't even think of her letting it go to waste... After all she proved her haters wrong that she can't make successful pop music anymore.

But then again, after The Me You Can't See, I have a reflection that we really don't know what's going on behind her closed doors. This woman went through hell. I have a theory that she stopped promoting Chromatica because something happened. Maybe she's not well psychically/mentally/both? Maybe she's pregnant/marrying Polansky? The reason could be everything, but I'm convinced there is the reason.

Frankly, for me, I got what I was hoping for from her with Chromatica.

I got an amazing album that I will continue to listen to for years to come that's full of highly energetic songs I can dance to and also lyrics that I can also reflect on in those moments we all have where we look towards music to find solace and understanding. Chromatica ranks very highly as my favorite album she's released, surpassing even Born This Way, which I didn't think she would do for me.

I am inclined to believe she doesn't have much interest in promoting the album, releasing another single, etc. I can only speculate that she wants to move on to other projects. I do believe that she has her sights and passion set on acting and while I am not interested in her acting career, I do wish her success and will be awaiting her return to a follow up solo album to Chromatica as I am not interested in her collaboration with Tony either, although I will check it out.

It has honestly felt like ARTPOP all over again except this time it was kinda out of her hands with world events happening taking the spotlight away from new Gaga music and affecting the rollout of the album. I just wish she communicated with her fans, especially when we've supported her during the pandemic by purchasing merch from her store to help recuperate the funds they would've lost by the tour not going ahead etc. (the merch store has been an absolute mess this era)

It's time to move on and look forward to new projects from Gaga, it's just a bit hard when she hasn't really acknowledged Chromatica. :fatcat:

yeah sorta, especially when this is here most polished pop record and having blackpink on Sour Candy is such a hard thing for me to move on. I mean who doesn't want to see visuals from them? (i know sour candy track haters are seething but yall get my point)

I’m not ready to move on. Simply because I need to see Chromatica performed by her.  I really can’t understand why she never did a live stream. Especially considering how the fans carried/supported the album.

Im not too into Jazz, so the LFS era isn’t super exciting for me.

I don’t think I’ll ever get over the Chromatica era and we all know, deep down, that the Chromatica Ball will get cancelled

I don’t believe people were ready to move on from ARTPOP, especially when she went missing for so many months during DWUW days. And then G.U.Y came and she did one performance and that was it. People still wanted visuals for Sexxx Dreams or Gypsy.
