I'm actually loving the new album from Thalia, well most of it anyway, and I am a Paulina Rubio fan and y'all know that

The album is called "desAMORfosis" and the lead single "Mojito" has become one of my newest favorite Latin releases. Even though it's a flop on the charts (because she doesn't any featured trendy artist on it, which proves my theory that she only got hits because of trendy feats but anyway..), the song is actually very good and has a bit of touch from the old Thalia.

I don't like that the majority of the album has reggaeton sounds but that's okay. She also has pop and electronic sounds. I like that the album doesn't have lots of feats (only five, which is a small number when it comes to Thalia :flop: ). I guess I like Thalia when she's alone because that way she reminds me of her old music.

If you go through her official website, you can clearly see that she worked really, really, really hard on the album's visuals and artwork. Each photo has a meaning and it's not just some Latina showing her flat stomach and looking spicy and  sexy. I guess there's a touch of surreal art in the album's photoshoot.

That being said, I hope Paulina Rubio is at the studio making bops instead of doing live shows with awful vocals, sniffing marijuana while chatting with fans and later getting sued by her exes.

Who is she?

I'm not interested in promoting another Mexican hasbeen all over again. Google her. Her name is Thalia. She's Mariah Carey's ex's wife if that means something to you.

Who is she?

A very famous singer/actress from Mexico. She came to stardom in the mid 90s if I remember correctly, starring in telenovelas (and sometimes releasing music for the telenovela's "score" if you can call it that). I haven't followed her as much now but it sounds like she has continued to release music for decades?

Love her. She is a legendary Mexican diva but I haven't been interested in her in a long time. I will give this a listen.
