Although I really think she needs to release a non-Billie template song to freshen things up. I feel like the music didn't catch up to the image change. dit 46,482 Posted June 5, 2021 Share Posted June 5, 2021 She is going through a tiny "sophmore slump" but she is also releasing quality (for the most part) so I dont care much about the dwindling figures. Tbh her type of music blowing up to the point that it did was already pretty shocking. A teenager's deep mostly ballads topping charts left and right was kind of crazy and an anomally tbh. I feel like she might have a Lana Del Rey esque career where they peaked in their debut commercially speaking but their art just keeps getting better and better and they have a big solid fan base to carry their records from here on out. The difference is however that Billie (unlike Lana) will STILL have big hits as well because she does chase hits unlike Lana who completely just did not give an F about commercial success after her debut album. Billie most likely gonna sell a lot when her album is released from pre-orders as well she is segmented but the difference is, her solo debut got Bad Guys, this sophomore album so far are only mellow songs for the singles so (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ✧*:･ﾟ dancin' until i'm dead (*´艸｀*) ♡♡♡ Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think ppl are starting to find her vocal style a little bit tired. She actually has a stunning voice and it would be nice to hear her push her voice a little more. Not on every track or whatever but at least give us some vocal dynamics a little bit here and there girl. And I think the heavy beats and edgy subject matter of WWAFAWDWG was kinda a phase for her. Not many teens can express their teen angst in music like she did, but she's an adult now and you can hear that shift in her music I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
