Yeah he's definitely coming across as a bit of a douche and I can't tell exactly how he means it... whether he's trying to say that he's protective of his sister, the sound they've created together, not trusting other producers to not take advantage of her or try to change her or to treat her badly. Or if he's saying that her music belongs to him and he's not letting anyone else take those opportunities away from him

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Even if he wants to remain her only producer, you would think he'd keep those feelings private and try to appear more gracious and laid back publicly. "Whatever is best for Billie / Whatever Billie wants, she's my sister etc etc" would be better PR.

His behavior tells me he's feeling nervous about it :spin:

If you guys watch the full video and not just the Twitter clip you will see that Finneas says that he just knows Billie's sound and what makes her happy so he as a producer knows that sometimes they want to make the music sound like their own production and doesn't want to change Billie's signature sound right now. She's still way too young and starting her career so I don't think she'd want to move that fast. Especially because of what Gaga went through at that age. That's his little sister right there, they've been making music together for years now and it'd be a huge leap if she walks away, they're more of a duo now.

I think fans are just used to popstars "evolving" with different sounds but she's not the typical artist out there. She just happened to have an accidental hit that got her a bunch of Grammys. Like they said in their speech, they didn't write the music thinking it'd even get nominated.

I’m sure it was intended as a joke :selena: but it’s unlikely this power dynamic they have will workout in the long run. I think they’re at risk of having their own ASIB moment, Billie will become big enough on her own that she won’t need her brother in the same way and it may hinder her career to always keep him around etc. But I hope it works out for them both, I’m sure he’ll be rich enough to retire happy should it happen.

Not the bore worms!

I’m going to be honest, I really like Billie but her and her bro together make me feel… uncomfortable.. I can’t be the only one who sees it, right?
