LDGA 1,260
You all take things way too serious, he seems to be joking. Also, if anyone must judge or not judge the acts of Phines its her sister, Billie, we dont know how things really work. I still remember when you blow out of proportion the "yikes" Billie said about the meat dress and know this.

RahrahWitch 6,985
YIKES, Who talks about anyone let alone their sister like that? Never been a fan of his he seemed douchey to me but I'm not gonna lie he did great with WWAFAWDWG. He knows he's riding her coattails and doesn't want her working with anyone else. Look how that's going with her current Album, Every song so far has had mixed reviews.

Guest
he was clearly just talking about billies music when he said 'it' not her, or he would have said 'she's mine' which genuinely would be disturbing
StrawberryBlond 14,820
I don't get why he wants to keep her all for himself. It's natural for every artist to want to expand their horizons at some point, especially when they're as young as Billie. There's no guarantee she'll want to keep all her current styles and trademarks forever. The most successful artists also tend to be the ones who never make the same album twice. It's the ones who keep people guessing that have the most longevity. I'm an only child, is it normal for siblings to be this close to the point where they don't want to work with anyone else? He can't be Billie's comfort blanket forever and she may start to seriously resent him for it too if she misses out on great collab opportunities because he's so possessive. OMonster 14,675
I would say he has every right to feel slightly 'territorial' over Billie's sound/work - because it's his sound, too. He created that for/with her. I think it's completely human to be a little uneasy about her working with someone else. Should he stop her? No. Do I understand the sentiment? Yes - and you're lying to yourself if you say you don't. It's totally fine. Their brother/sister relationship complicates thing, too. This isn't just a work dynamic; there's so much more to it. I'm sure one day Billie will work with other products - especially if she wants to change her sound. On a different note: I don't really rate Finneas anymore. Billie's latest tracks are incredibly boring and just go... nowhere. subtext / fantasy

It’s pretty much his production that created her sound and them working together in their rooms. I can see her style change of course in the near future, but if she wants to stay where she is but evolve that sound, sticking with finneas is the smartest idea. i don’t think any other producer can really do what her brother does. bad analogy bc AB is a do*che but Selena with her brother. Nobody could do what AB did for Selena and that’s why she still wanted him in her English album. It’s that spark and that sweet spot they hit with the music. This. It’s really not “Billie Eilish” the singer but more “Billie Eilish” the brother sister duo. It’s what works. I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill. Glamourpuss 29,062
I think he was referring to the music and not his sister as "it" and I think he said **** off it's mine because it must hurt/annoy him a little bit when people talk about her not working with him anymore as though he's disposable. I don't see why she should rush to drop Finneas and work with someone new. They both won Grammy awards last year which shows they're a great team so why rush to change it when what they have now is successful. And isn't she only 18? There's going to be plenty of time for her to work with other producers.
