There is no such thing as "sanitary" meat. If regulated farms are unsanitary (you can easily check that at Google and Youtube), I cannot even imagine what unregulated farms are like.

There are still many countries who are still being tragically affected by the Covid-19 but look at the map on the link above and you'll see that the world is doing a little better than it was doing before. Of course I am saddened that that are countries who are still so heavily damaged by this virus up to this day.

There are so many preservatives and additives to meat these days that I'm surprised they even spoil

The conditions the animals live in are horrid but they rarely pose a threat to humans. And when they do, it's often noticed immediately and a recall goes out.

Nearly 95% of raw meat sold in markets and grocery stores in the US test positive for animal fecal matter contamination. Anyone in the food industry can tell you how often leafy greens are recalled throughout the year. Its usually due to bacteria from animal cross-contamination  and pesticides. It’s often way too frequent to adequately adhere to recall guidelines. 
Those preserves are currently effecting humans in ways that researchers cannot begin to understand or control let alone inform people of. 
studies have shown that eating dead flesh alone begins to cause inflammation in the human body the moment we begin to chew. Our body recognizes it as a problem immediately.

In the us the flu is usually the bird flu. These viruses mutate very quickly, and our factory farming does not stop. Every year you have to get a new flu shot to combat the new mutation leaving farms.
