RAMROD 105,753
That's fcking stupid. How else would you celebrate an era? Obviously there will be merchs. Find every other big era from other artists that did not do the same, I'll wait. Do you want Gaga come knocking on your door and kiss your feet instead? That's not happening, be realistic I just feel some of y'all just jealous for not affording these merchs than anything. They went above and beyond to make it great for fans and it so wasn’t like the merch was the only thing out there. What I never understand is how no one ever tried to constantly prove Gaga is creating cash cows when she gave visuals, content, performances besides merch. If the "exploitation" and cash cow issue is so important then some of us should have stopped being Gaga fans in 2011.
dberrin 868
I don’t understand people complaining at Versace tee shirt price which is the same as a classic Versace tee shirt. We r lucky she is doing a collab with such a brand. There are people for who it is normal to buy their tee shirt 250$ and this collab is just made for them. Unfortunately for other people this time it’s not a collab with h&m or other low cost brands.

Papergangstuh 2,629
Questions to ask yourself: Would you complain if they didn't do this? Also, was selling meat bandaids and lunchboxes not cashing in on this album 10 years ago when they were doing that?
Just A Holy Fool 2,459
Celebrating it and making money go hand in hand. You can't celebrate it, without it generating money... and you can't generate money without selling it. This is her career, of course she'll make money off of it. She is also lifting up relatively unknown queer artists with her platform.

G U C C I 5,396
The biggest questions in this thread and the countless others like it are: 1. Why isn't Gaga doing what I think she should be doing instead of whatever this is? 2. Why is everything always revolving around money? Those questions have very simple answers. Ready? Here goes: 1. That's why she's the artist and you're the public. 2. Grow the f*ck up and be an adult for once and take a look at reality. Nothing in this world is free. Her releasing unheard tracks on Spotify instead of Versace shirts would still cost f*cking money. Money that her record label and team probably considered, weighed their options, and delivered what they felt would be best.
rinasawachanta 2,674
It is true. It's as if Gaga is doing everything she was noted for not doing at the time: profiting from the LGBT community. I mean, Gaga made an album that addressed these issues explicitly when NO ONE was doing it (because it wasn't "trendy" or profitable enough). Now that Pride has become an opportunity to sell, sell, sell, sell, Gaga and her team seem to be taking advantage of the album's anniversary to spearhead this shameless cash-grabbing process. freebit 6,132
She's a mainstream pop star on a major label - capitalism was always going to be involved, and has always been involved (like that farmville tie-in). Like, what do you want her to do? Genuinely asking. You must dislike K-pop artists.
