Republican talking points are effective because people are stupid and can be taught simple "problems" with progress even when those problems don't exist in any numbers.  

And people like Caitlyn Jenner, Kardashians, Trumps - they get their power from people about them.  They thrive on negative attention, so you really can't win by criticizing them.

Exactly. I want them to come up with one example of someone solely transitioning just to get ahead in sports because I think there are zero.

What a sad, miserable person she is. Even though she's trans, she lived an incredibly privileged life, never actually experiencing any sense of solidarity with her community. She thinks she's doing something by being an openly trans Republican, meanwhile sabotaging and hurting the transgender people who paved the way for her.

People should read that she's specifically referring to sports. It's all well and great if a trans woman wants to play professional sports, but if her hormones are still producing testosterone and minimal estrogen, then she's at a significant advantage physically that other woman can't compare to. And this is the biggest argument against allowing trans community in sports as their trans gender.

Imagine being a young Trans kid just wanting to play sports and then having to go in front of this commission to validate your identity. The level of trauma.

I don't want to be mean but most Transwomen wouldn't consider Caitlyn "truly trans" herself, based on how she looks, alone...

As a Transwoman who doesn't want hormone replacement nor have I gone through extensive psychological examination, I am disgusted. She's being so gatekeep-y here.

Yup. It's a lot harder to play to people's empathy and intelligence like this:

"People are all wired differently and our society has predetermined ideals of what it means to be 'male' and 'female', there are people who don't feel they fit in with the one they were assigned due to their genitals at birth and there are others still who feel they don't align with either so they use that well known meaning of 'male' and 'female' as a reference point to describe how they view themselves to other people. We should respect that those people are different, refer to them with their preferred name and pronouns, and appreciate that humans are so diverse! And even if you disagree with the science behind the psychology and biology of gender studies, you should at least be kind to another person just because it's the right thing to do "

It's MUCH easier to play to their ignorance and fear like this:

"If we let men become women then men can dress up as a lady and rape your wife in the mall bathroom! Little boys can grope your daughters at school!"

And that's why Republicans still hold about 20% of the country's population. Because at least 20% of Americans lack empathy and critical thinking skills
