I get that you are disapointed in Jk Rowling, I am too, but you don't have to feel guilty for still liking Harry Potter though. I'm not saying you have to still like it, if it makes you feel better to ban everything Harry Potter related out of your life.

But compare it to this: There are a lot of other nice books and movies out there, also some really old classics. For example The Lord of The Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz. The authors of those books are gone for a long time now. How do we know they didn't have the same pov as Jk Rowling? maybe it was even worse. They lived in a different time.

This goes beyond fantasy books of course. Also other books, movies, music, food brances, everything. If you don't wanna spend money on stuff you like because there is one nasty person involved, then you have to skip a lot of brands, because nasty people are everywhere. It just so happens Jk rowling is a public figure.

Also Harry Potter is not just J.K. Rowling her world anymore, she only came up with it first and wrote the books. Look where it is now. Movies, games, themeparks and theater. Especially the movies were big part of Harry Potter what is today, and the fans of course.

I don't feel guilty at all, I feel guilty for loving The Mists of Avalon. Harry Potter is nice and fun and I like it, but far from being 1/10 as good as people say it is. I just decided I won't give any money to J. K. Rowling, that's all.

I never bought the movies, I never cared about the movies, I never even watched half of them. I bought the books. And anyway, if I didn't know what kind of person she was before it's not my fault. I'd feel guilty if I gave her any money from now on knowing the piece of sh1t3 she is.

Oh I loved the Harry Potter series. Such charming books and such a magical world. I wish she would make a new one. Who wouldn't love to see where Harry is today? It would be wonderful!
