JK Rowing blocked Stephen King for saying "Trans women are women."

Last year, in response to accusations by MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle that she had “used” her experience of domestic abuse to attack trans people, Rowling tweeted an Andrea Dworkin quote: “Men often react to women’s words – speaking and writing – as if they were acts of violence; sometimes men react to women’s words with violence.”

When King retweeted the quote, Rowling declared that her love for The Shining author had reached “new heights”.

However, when followers asked King to clarify his stance on trans rights, he emphatically declared: “Trans women are women.” Rowling’s tweet praising King soon disappeared.

Reflecting on the incident in an interview with the Daily Beast this week, King said: “Jo cancelled me.

“She sorta blocked me and all that. Here’s the thing: She is welcome to her opinion. That’s the way that the world works.

Despite JK Rowling’s criticism of cancel culture, Stephen King insisted that no one has cancelled the Harry Potter author.

“Nobody has ‘cancelled’ JK Rowling,” he said. “She’s doing fine. I just felt that her belief was, in my opinion, wrong. We have differing opinions, but that’s life.”

I'm not on board with his replies at all tbh, transphobia is not a "differing opinion", it's straight up discrimination that should be fully condemned.

I deleted all my Hary Potter games apps and donated myHP books to a school. I won't ever watch a Harry Potter movie again, I won't give money to that TERF.

I think we should forget J.K. Rowling ever existed. This is old news, why are people bringing this up? She is a TERF, she won't change. And bringing this up won't help anyone, will only make trans people remember her terrible statements and feel bad about it, especially trans people who grew up watching/reading her work.

Yeah I don't think she's worth talking about anymore. But this is more about King I guess, especially that he said all these things in a recent interview.

She’s become really sensitive to criticism, it’s just weird. Growing up being a fan of her and HP, she seemed really progressive leaning, it just feels odd seeing her in this light the last couple years. She may have some valid talking points that people blew out of proportion, but there’s other things about her attitude and ways of communicating her messages that rub me in a weird way.

Artemis Fowl is horrible  her being a bigot doesn't change the fact that Harry Potter was a phenomenal series and it's childish to pretend otherwise
