There has to be an investigation into these numbers because they don't add up. You'll notice they have 50 million subscribers, yet they got 100 million views in 20 hours? Impossible. Videos never better the amount of subscribers they have in the first 24 hours. Not even all the subscribers watch in the first 24 hours, they've got lives. You want me to believe that so many of their young fans who are at school and university for 6+ hours were watching this on repeat? And fans who work and have responsibilities? Even the biggest names who have more subscribers don't get records like this in 24 hours. And they got just over 8 million likes in that time as well. I'm surprised people just accept it. I've heard investigations carried out on fake views of American popstars but the k-pop ones are unknown territory. We've seen how obsessed and dedicated their fans are. I wouldn't put it past them to inflate those views.

whilst i'd be the last one to defend bts fans, it really is just obsessive streaming. you say 'they're at work/school or 6+ hours a day'... yea, but there are some crazy dedicated fans who won't sleep for the remaining 18 hours just to stream repetitively. there are people who use multiple devices, or tell their friends and families to watch it too. you're operating on the assumption that the number of subscribers has anything to do with it, as if a certain percentage of those subscribers aren't gonna watch it 100+ times a day. i'm not a fan of the streaming method, the pressure to stream or the obsessive-ness of armys, but idk, i don't think it's that suspicious.

But the amount of subscribers is a direct correlation to what kind of views anyone else gets. This is true across the board for all artists as well as all YouTubers in general. Whatever your subscribers are, you generally get a few million less than that amount in the first 24 hours. When your views are amazingly low but you have millions of subscribers, that suggests your subscribers are artificially inflated. If your views are amazingly high but your subscribers are surprisingly low, that can be a sign of inflated views. It's a basic algorithm. If you hang around Youtube long enough, you notice the pattern and start to be able to predict views depending on how many subscribers the creator has. I've never seen views like this, or likes for that matter, at such a quick rate that blow past the amount of subscribers. Even though 50 million subscribers making 100 million views simply translates as 50 million people watched it twice each, that's not how the real world operates. No other artist can do this. Some call me a cynic, I call myself a realist.

it's not being a realist, you're making something causational when it isn't necessarily like that. in practice, a lot of bts fans won't have their own youtube accounts, or will use different accounts, so the number of subscribers isn't a particularly accurate measurement. all the number of subscribers indicates is 'the number of people who like this artist who have their own youtube account AND have subscribed', the actual number who stream the video but haven't subscribed will be much much larger than you're assuming.

I guess the only places they are not a huge thing is on Europe and Africa, beside that, their fans are everywhere lurking every place to annoy people
