The fact that he has to delete the post is a good sign though

how? if they have plans for it why would they want them deleted. if there's no chance then they don't want expectations for it.

This would be a flop waiting to happen. They can work together again on new music but he need to move on from this act 2 nonsense.

It means he wants to communicate with us, without the label necessary seeing it on social media. That's probably why it was only up an hour or so. Get the message across quickly then go dark to avoid detection

Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster? Will pay you for it. Pic: http://i.imgur.com/UWuzumk

It’s essentially a B sides album though, they don’t really have to promote or film videos, etc. Just drop it as a side project and make a little extra cash. 🤷🏼‍♂️

it’s crazy to me how people forget that they are signed to major labels and there’s contracts and procedures that must be followed, even if it’s just uploading a b sides album, it’s also doing the a&r for it & then getting the correct streaming platforms ready, Interscope would also have to allot budget for mixing/mastering.

I guess I’m old-school, but I just don’t think it’s appropriate for fans or former producers or anyone to pressure an artist to create and release art to the public. To me, creating art is a sacred calling, and any artist should be free to create and release in their own time that which they choose to show.

I have so much faith (not hope) that Vol II or something associated with ARTPOP will come to fruition in the coming years. They could push it back for the 10th anniversary and I’d be totally okay with that.

With each update this just gets sadder and sadder. Next update: "DJWS: Gaga blocked me and is threatening legal action." :triggered:

Fans making hashtags and pushing for ARTPOP II is fine and all, but DJWS joining in and putting public pressure on Gaga is super inappropriate.

This whole situation is pretty gross to me and he should keep his mouth shut.

6. From what I can gather personally:

(this is just an informed take on it from my knowing one party in this situation)

Paul doesn’t want the fans to give up the discussion or the hash tag or the intense desire for Act2.

The more we as fans can tout how much we want this , and promo it and every thing , the more he can prove to the label it’s not just him, that the fans genuinely want it. He can use us to convince them . This is my take on it, my personal opinion. Because the legal divide is kinda big, but money and desire by fans can probably bridge it.

Good post.

I think for the ROI the money tied up legally and the time wouldn't be worth it no matter what - if it was a new album that was going to be promoted with hits and WW tour i think they could do a work around - but this is an album that underperformed from 2014.

in terms of if she just wanted to re-release with 6 new songs for fans that'd be great for its recurrents on spotify and it'd bring it to 2xPlat in USA but that wouldn't out-weigh the cons and the time.

At this point i can see them creating something brand new in spirit of ARTPOP

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

In her defense, it sounds like she is currently about to release Chromatica remix album and possibly trying to restart that era a bit now that things are back to normal pandemic-wise/she is done filming Gucci. I feel like releasing ARTPOP Act II would be a bizarre choice right now. I get where he is coming from, because that album is important to him and he was actually involved with it and was not with Chromatica, but from her and her team's perspective, Chromatica is the newest body of work that still needs it's time to shine. I think he needs to respect that and understand that ARTPOP Act II probably isn't on the top of her list right now and she doesn't need people getting hyped about something that she isn't even considering doing anytime soon/at all.

if not now, then when? gaga is always going to be kept busy with partnerships, makeup line, and probably now a good deal of acting. it’s not because she’s busy, it’s because she doesn’t want to release it (which is fair)

I think that we cannot know. If they rework it a bit to make it more recent, it could be a hit. Even not reworked, Nothing On is for example classic Gaga, it could smash.

I mean realistically there isn't much more left to talk about. Fans have already signed the petition. Talked about it at length. What else is there left to add?

To me the excitement for Act 2, while yes, came out of love for ARTPOP firstly, also stemmed from the thirst for new material from Gaga after Chromatica. Outside of that period of time when fan sentiment was at its peak, I don't think there's really any major clamor for it anymore. Or at least fans would be less likely to keep talking about it now. Maybe for its 10th Anniversary, we'll get something?

10th Anniversary would be a good time

She is always busy, but now was a "special" time

Movie, dogs, pandemic etc.

I would be tired for months after acting alone

Add so many traumatic events to it and there's no energy left

But maybe you're right and she doesn't want to, we'll see
