DJWS: I haven’t spoken to Gaga yet

Little Monsters are ridiculous.

Lady Gaga is not a child. You don’t know her. You don’t know DJWS’ relationship with her. You don’t have to attack someone who’s close to her for any perceived wrongdoing.

Asking fans to keep the energy up about the project so that the label sees there’s demand is not asking people to harass Gaga.

I swear some people really don’t want this project to come out and use every excuse to interpret everything he and Gaga say in the most uncharitable way possible.

Gaga has already said multiple times that she loves ARTPOP, but Liddos would lead you to believe that she basically cries every time she hears the album title and that DJWS is basically holding her hostage by talking about it.

I am asking you to do some deep reflection.

Gaga’s clearly not musically invested at the moment. It’s obvious. And he on the other hand is a creator/producer and he lives for this type of craft. They’re both mentally in different places and having a huge record label behind Gaga doesn’t make anything easier. We don’t know what goes on behind closed doors and what is permitted and isn’t permitted. I actually find is respectable that he wants us to be able to hear this musical work someday since he’s very passionate about it. Some of you make it sound like he’s telling us to harass Gaga lmao. Get a grip.

Ok? And? The beginning you’re talking about was almost 3-4 years ago now. Relationships change in less time lol. RedOne was also part of early LG5 recording sessions and he only had a credit on Angel Down and they haven’t really interacted since. I don’t get your point.

there isn’t a lot to read into this. He’s excited. They haven’t spoken yet about it (which makes sense). He doesn’t want monsters to be discouraged.

That doesn’t really make sense lol you can be friends with someone and not work on every piece of your professional work with them. I’m right with my best friends but have never worked with them. Not saying they’re best friends but they’ve been through a lot together and she HAS worked with him a lot from ASIB to BTW to ARTPOP to early Chromatica. Yeah relationships change but it could also just simply be she found a direction and took it. It doesn’t have to speak to the quality of their friendship(?)

it's getting a little ridiculous. I understand he hasnt worked with many artists after Gaga and he probably craves the nostalgia of the good old days when his produced tracks charted on the Hot 100 but it's time to let it go and move on sir. I feel for him because overall he seems like a nice guy but there's a whole world out there of artists craving to work with a variety of producers! PRODUCE PRODUCE PRODUCE until you make magic with a new special artist and the song makes waves like your old work with Gaga did!

picture this:

 

1. ARTPOP was made under Troy Carter.

2. There was a legally messy breakup involving art, music , creative rights , money, and artists rights , between Camp Gaga and Camp Carter.

3. After the split ,  we can safely assume as a fan base that the ARTPOP era she planned before the split and the era we ended up getting (c2c in 2014, etc) were 2 different things.

4. The songs and her ways she can legally use them are all tied up in Troy Carter and the label , not to mention the limitations both she and Paul are under with their current labels. 

5. Yes I have some insider knowledge as I met and interviewed Paul in 2018 (see here:  on https://gagadaily.com/djws/ )on some of those subjects and remained close to him in non Gaga ventures which employed my music archiving hobbies. Out of respect I don’t bother him with tons of questions on the matter because if he wants that he can log into Twitter or IG and he gets thousands of questions on it, understandably.

 

6. From what I can gather personally:

(this is just an informed take on it from my knowing one party in this situation)

Paul doesn’t want the fans to give up the discussion or the hash tag or the intense desire for Act2.

The more we as fans can tout how much we want this , and promo it and every thing , the more he can prove to the label it’s not just him, that the fans genuinely want it. He can use us to convince them . This is my take on it, my personal opinion. Because the legal divide is kinda big, but money and desire by fans can probably bridge it.

what is with everyone’s attempt to make something LARGER or more negative than it is, why can’t we see that these are two adults who are obviously in a business and who at the end of the day, have people they have to answer too. That doesn’t mean they have any disdain towards each other or are being harassed by one or the other.

This is what’ve I’ve thought from the beginning, when DJWS asks fans to continue making noise, he isn’t speaking towards Gaga but the label/UMG.

& that the Troy legalities are what will hold this all up.

I’ll wait for the 10th anniversary (although I highly doubt we’ll be receiving anything anyway). With the alleged remix album for Chromatica in the works, Tony Bennett, Gucci etc she’d be spreading herself thin with revisiting ARTPOP at this time.
