I was wondering if any of you remembered about this site back in the days, devoted to analysing Gaga's career in a socio political and symbolist/ poetic way ? Gagastigmata. It's now turned off (there is a private blog) but some samples of it are still on tumblr... But it was super precise, with interesting essays (for me) and had even more impact than I though.. Still I found nothing here about it in the search engine Also this is something I love about being in this fanbase, that we're here to talk about symbolism in arts, meanings, socio-political stuff.. And all of that is fuelled at the start by the artistry of our Lady. So lemme know ! enissa11 2,984 Posted May 20, 2021 Share Posted May 20, 2021 I'm actually a very new fan of Gaga, i began to follow her starting 2019, i rediscovered her after a metal cover of Paparazzi and i thought it was a very interesting song, checked out the original version and i was in awe with the creepy atmosphere and the commentary on fame and celebritie culture, furthermore watched her 2009 performance and i couldn't believe someone did something like that in domestic television. I've been a little Monster ever since. I stumble with GagaStigmata trying to find critical content about her art, surprisingly it wasn't any in youtube, it was just infested of videos with taylor swift's easter eggs in LWYMMD, but fortunately i found Gagastigmata and a lot of scholars thesis and essays about Gaga's artistry. Honestly she's a pop legend like nobody else today, just at the level of Michael Jackson, Madonna and David Bowie.
