The fact that some of you can’t see how awful this is for female artists is beyond me.

Not the first time Dua got affected. Billboard adjusted radio points or something to prevent Break My Heart from going top 10 (it peaked at #13)

As someone said

"So when Break My Heart was slaying on the radio and close to the top 10, Billboard adjusted the weights so radio counted less.

When Levitating was supposed to reach a new peak of #4 based off a strong performance in sales and streams, Billboard adjusted the weights so radio counted more.

When Levitating was supposed to hit #1 based again on its strong sales and streaming performance, radio was adjusted again to count for more AND sales were investigated and removed.

I see a pattern."

Yeah they 100% sabotaged her and its not even discreet lol. They worked late into the night trying to find a perfect formula to get her blocked by a 1 or 2 point margin :rip: Shaving off so many sales is one thing but also inflating radio at a last minute is shady af. It's the combo of both things that blocked her song which really stinks. A top 10 is a top 10 though and it has incredible longevity. Just sort of worrisome to see Billboard play these games. Gets you wondering why they owuld do such a thing literally last minute. It feels a little weird and calculated.

And what would be the purpose of that?

Sales need to be the metric that holds the most weight in determining chart positioning. It's so stupid to have radio be as integral as it is. Dua is going to get the last laugh. Just wait.

Oof, Bruno's song is really cute but I was rooting for Mizz Lipa and her bop to clinch that #1 this week. I don't really care about the charts but it would have been fun for her and her stans to get this, it makes me happy to see her stans / my fellow posters here happy, and celebrating her success, it's feel good vibes all around when that happens.

I understand why people feel disappointed and upset today, because this does seem fishy and no deep/thorough explanation is ever gonna be given about removing those digital sales beyond the little statement already delivered... Regardless, it doesn't take away at all from what a massive success the FN era has been and continues to be.

When the top 5 current TRENDING pages on GGD are:  3 for Dua, 1 for Marina, and 1 about rap.

Chromatica who? lol

Anyway, congrats girl :D

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

Can you explain that Michael Jackson one? Katy breaking a record (or more?) of MJ's was part of the reason I liked her. Kind of a "passing of the guard" thing. A new generation of superstars, all that.

I think they changed the rules when Katy’s The One That Got Away was supposed to hit no1.. She would have broken the MJ’s record for the most no1s from one album but they decided to change the rules just so she wouldn’t. In retrospect MJ is iconic and deserves to hold that one but it just speaks volume about Billboard being allowed to do anything they want to

That's pretty sh*tty :interestinga: if she earned it, she should have gotten it. Same with the other artists their new rules are screwing over.

Idk what their agenda is but it's only going to hurt their image, not the artists'.

Honestly, some of y'all get way to dramatic over Billboard charts, lol "justiceforDua" 😅

So many other charts and platforms outside the US where this song has probs gone #1 and so on.
