Nano 3,645
She was a freak back in 2008-2009 and so was I. I felt out of place, misunderstood, and weird. Gaga created a safe haven for young teens like me at that time. She empowered me and taught me to love myself. Her Born This Way message saved my life. I have come to accept and love myself because of her art. She is the reason I am here today and I will forever adore her. Paw up forever. I get chills every time I watch this clip You chew beef, I wear meat.

Babylon Dynasty 1,801
I love the way she understands art and its meaning, how she uses that expression with fashion and it's so funny because the people criticizing her for her "shallow" fashion never understood that everything is part of a concept but they never look behind, her music is amazing too obviously, but overall, her personality, her kindness and all the love she give us and her support to the lgbtq+ since the beginning . Strike a pose ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍💖
Mother of Puppies 35,722
The music in the first place... the fact that she is an actual artist (who knows how to play instruments) which includes writing and at times also producing her own songs & planning her performances and all that comes with it. And after some time what stood out for me: Her message, the kindness and that it's ok to be or feel different. The fact that she talks openly about mental health. For me it's the whole package. Greg August 143
because she changed my life i've grown up in a religious and conservative environment where homophobia, racism and criticism to any "different" lifestyle was totally normal. Gaga changed my point of view, she made me believe in equality, love and kindness. she made me accept myself, feel proud of my sexuality and believe in me she is a real artist! she has talent, creativity and most important, she has a message to spread. that's the impact. she's my inspiration to become an artist too, i just love her so much

(even though I might be in the minority here) It’s always joked about as if music and sexuality are exclusive to each other. I try not to take it seriously but it’s a pretty tired joke. HuffsAhoy 7,433
I became a fan initially because of Paparazzi, which I actually didn't hear for the first time until fall 2009!! At that time, I wasn't a super fan, just a casual fan who enjoyed her music and zany personality. But after I came out in July 2010 and went to the Monster Ball (a literal liberating experience for me) and saw how dedicated and vocal she was for gay rights, that's what sold me. You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love.
ARTPOPe 10,023
One day, in late 2009, I walked into our living room where MTV was being watched and right there, on the screen, was a weird woman, performing what seemed like satanic rites. I tried to leave, but then she chanted "R̵̰̈A̵͔͆H̴͚͋ ̸̧̄R̴̰͠A̸̰͂H̴̠͘ ̶̣̓ A̷͚̎H̷͚͌ ̷͇̓Ạ̵̎H̷̅͜ ̵̣̎A̶̲͌H̶͍͗H̴̝̑ - ̵̻̅Ȑ̸̳O̶̟͛Ṃ̴̈A̶̧͆ ̶͙͝R̴̋͜Ō̷͖Ḿ̸̠A̷̱͂ ̵̤̈́M̵̥̍Ả̷̡ - ̵͓̌G̵̢̓Å̶̘ ̴̙̌G̷͉̈́A̸̭͑ ̷̝̓O̸̮̽H̵̻͐ ̸̗̄L̷̥͌A̴̗͐ ̸̫̔L̵̖̂Å̷̪" and before I knew it, the wicked woman cast me under her spell. Magui 2,625
It's was something that evolved... probably the root of it was her performances. I remember being like OMG, WTF, LoL,with her, like a mix of feelings... The thing is, somehow she always managed to steal my attention. Music wise I got hooked with the The Fame Monster, i don't how many times I listened to that album start to finish. I started to pay attention to the talent that was behind all, the talent that was needed it to pull all that...the voice, the piano and musical skills, the acting, the versatility, the vision, etc. She, like someone said in this thread is unique, like she has a combo of "skills" as an artist that I really appreciate/admire and that I find so entraining. Nowadays, her versatility is what i observe the most, but I'm really curious about her acting, eager to see her in her next movies. Plus i admire her as person very much, she is a strong woman that had to endure some very hard **** in her life, plus it's no ease to deal with the unfortunate health problems she has, I'm sure those made her a different person, and change her perspective on many stuff. And ultimate i admire her message of kindness and positivity, her effort to bring and do something good to this world.
