The only time I’ll wear a mask will be maybe on like airplanes and public transportation. There’s no need for them unless you’re in a sterile environment, are infected with a virus/ are sick and must go in public, or maybe if you’re immunocompromised and it’s cold and flu season. Other than that, you’re just gonna have more acne, be hotter during the summer, etc. for barely any benefits I feel 

People who use masking as rationale for not getting colds/ allergies this year don’t consider the fact that people were also travelling/ going out less

I mean sure but Americans weird aversion to mask is just laughable.

Yeah I'm not gonna wear it during work/ workout/ indoors in a typical situation, but masks are sooo beneficial in various ways.

-Talking to ppl who have bad breath.

-Hiding your identity from street cams/ai facial recognition. 

-Pollution & Sun

-Hiding acne and blemishes

I mean, in my country, we wear masks regardless of the virus.

That's odd. When you're vaccinated, you're not immune to COVID, your risk for a serious case is just significantly lower. You can still get it and infect other people.

And that's why the mask and socially distancing here in Germany will stay even for the vaccinated and I think that's the right thing to do.

I am so happy to see science just change our lives like this! The amount of knowledge and hard work out into these insanely effective vaccines is amazing, a lot of people can’t realize how effective they are because being immune from a virus isn’t usually something you can see in person unless you are exposed to the virus. These vaccines are effective against variants, transmitting the virus, getting infected, they are basically the best of the best.

Masks are so politicized in the US, it’s so tiring. Masks are a tool, not a solution. Once you are done with a tool, you get rid of it until you need it next time. Vaccines are the solution! Plenty of people out there will be intimidated to take off their masks, it’s normal, we went through A LOT, trauma is real, no rush. I can’t wait to take off my mask and see other people’s smiles.

These amazing vaccines will protect you and the others around you way more than the loose fitting, non-effective cloth masks people have been wearing for a year. Science is amazing.
